Dress Code Rules


NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) – 2017 [NEET (UG)-2017] which is conducted on a national level, comes with an exacting rules and regulations. Candidates surfacing for the NEET 2017 must follow the new rules and regulation as prescribed by the examination authority, CBSE for NEET 2017 examination. In the current year 2017, CBSE has come up with a very specific or you can say strict pattern for dress in NEET exam. To avoid any distortion exam, the aspirants are advised to abide the rules religiously.


Through candidate's admit card the CBSE has cleared very precisely that what to wear and what to bring in exam hall. Information given in the admit card is authentic and must be followed by all candidates.


Candidates have to follow the dress code while appearing for NEET exam, the dress code rules are given below:


Candidates have to wear light half sleeves clothes not having big buttons, brooch/badge, flower etc. with Salwar/Trouser.

Candidates have to wear Slippers not shoes.

For Male Candidate:


Wear light color clothes like Jeans, Pant, Shirt (half sleeves only). The button of shirt should be medium size not big enough. The Kurta Payjama not allowed, Shoes are also not allowed. Wear only sleepers or sandals.


For Female Candidate:


Light clothes with half sleeves not having big buttons, brooch/badge, flower etc. with Salwar/ Trouser, Slippers, sandals with low heels are allowed. Shoes for the female candidate are also not allowed.


There is a list of items which are allowed and not allowed in the examination hall. The details can be found on the official website of CBSE.


NEET 2017 Counselling


The committee, which supervise the NEET centralized counselling is the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).MCC is constituted by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It has constituted to conduct online counselling for 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS/BDS courses.


The NEET counselling 2017 will be initiated from the third week of June 2017. Only the qualified candidates can appear in the counselling process.  Candidates are required to get themselves register in the counselling process to confirm their seats in MBBS/BDS course & colleges.


The counselling process is a procedure which includes three rounds. The procedure is as mentioned below:

Online Registration: In order to participate in NEET counselling, the candidate has to register themselves by filling basic details. Post registration, the candidates are given a unique USER ID & PASSWORD in registered email Id & mobile number. Post this comes Choice Filling & Locking step where the candidates select their medical/dental colleges & courses as per their preference.  Once the candidate click the "Save" button they save their choices. Later, the seats are allotted are allotted to the candidates on the basis of   rank & opted choice of colleges. Last but not the least, reporting to the Allotted College. In this particular process post the result announcement, candidates report in the allotted college and confirm the same by paying the required fee. Just in case, the candidate fails to report in the given time frame the seat is then allotted to the next eligible candidate.
